Rev. Kim Kavazanjian, Associate Pastor for Intergenerational Ministries and Youth

Kim KavazanjianRev. Kim Kavazanjian comes to Central  from Interfaith Action of Southwest Florida, where she worked with religious organizations all over the U.S.A. in partnership with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW), a farmworker organization in Southwest Florida. In 2009, Kim served as a missionary with the Presbyterian Peacemaking Fellowship’s program in Colombia, where she worked with the Presbyterian Church of Colombia in its ministries around the area of Barranquilla, Colombia. She has also served as a missionary in Misiones, Argentina through the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA).

Kavazanjian was born in Hinsdale, Illinois but moved to  Long Island, New York when she was two years old. She primarily grew up in Setauket, NY. Kavazanjian was a member of Setauket Presbyterian Church and was ordained there as a Youth Elder. She is a graduate of Bates College in Maine with a degree in religion, spanish and dance, and was awarded the Master of Divinity in 2009 from McCormick Theological Seminary.

Kim loves to dance! Other hobbies include walking, running, reading, and spending time at the beach.
