Deacons provide care, comfort and charity as servants in Christ for our church and the community.

The deacons have the following standing committees:

·         Caring Ministry – Sends greeting cards to Central families in special circumstances

·         Communications & Publicity – Manages deacons’ page on cpcmiami.org

·         Flocks – Foster a personal relationship between the deacons and our church members

·         Greeters – Greet members and visitors at worship services

·         Marie’s Tea Room & Deacons’ Grill – Sells baked goods, hot dogs and drinks during Fall Arts and Crafts Fair

·         New Members Sponsor – Coordinates a reception for new members when they join Central

·         Pantry – Collection and distribution of canned and dry goods to families in need in the church and throughout the community

·         Prayer Chain – Enlists the deacons to pray for those with urgent needs

·         Prayer Garden – Maintains the prayer garden

·         Pumpkin Patch – Coordinates our annual award-winning pumpkin patch

·         Social Action – Coordinates events such as Habitat for Humanity

·         Sunshine – Provides meals and other assistance to church families in need

·         Teen – Communicates youth activities

·         Young Adult – Communicates young adult activities
