Adult Education

We are very excited to offer the following adult education classes for Fall 2009.  Classes are held on Sundays from 10:00 to 10:45 am.  On the last Sunday of each month we will enjoy a fellowship breakfast together instead of class.  Everyone is welcome to attend!

Bible Basics Class: Cumbaa Hall

If you want an introduction to the entire Bible, this is the class for you. In 12 weeks this class will cover Genesis to Revelations and everything in between. Participants will be provided with the Kerygma study guide Your Bible! The Study Begins.

The Book of Romans Class: Room 27

If you enjoy an open discussion format and want an in-depth study of one Book of the Bible, you should consider this class. The class will use the text Romans: The NIV Application Commentary by Douglas Moo to study Romans in both its historical context, and its application to our life today. This is a long term class that will continue into the spring.

Lectionary Class: Room 17

If you would like to explore the Bible verse-by-verse, this class will provide you with that opportunity. The Lectionary provides an ordered series of Bible texts from the Old Testament, Psalms, New Testament Gospels, or New Testament Epistles to be used in Christian Worship. Under the leadership of Pastor Swanson, the class will study the Bible verses often used for the next week’s Worship Service. This fall the class will study selections from either the Gospels or Epistles.
