Philosophy and Objectives…
The Creative Learning Center is a private, nonprofit preschool and kindergarten established in 1981.
The mission philosophy of The Creative Learning Center is that we can make a difference in the cognitive growth and development of the young child, while meeting the needs of the community by providing quality morning and evening childcare.
Our Curriculum…
The Creative Curriculum was first introduced in 1978, written by Diane Trister Dodge and published by Teaching Strategies.
It is the framework for a successful preschool day. It encompasses all areas of development:
- Social, Emotional
- Approaches to Learning
- Cognitive and General knowledge ; such as Math, Science, Social Studies and Art
- Language and Communication
- Physical Development
Our curriculum enhances the child’s natural curiosity and creativity. As the child grows and develops in The CLC program they acquire a strong sense of self-worth and confidence. This is done by engaging in a wide variety of developmentally and age-appropriate activities. The children are encourage to make discoveries, solve problems, and think independently while developing skills that are the foundation for all learning.

From Ms. Emi with love
In this place we've created
In this place you've come to know.
You have learned a thing or two
More than we'll ever know.
You have learned about the planets,
And how to sing a song or two,
You have learned about volcanoes,
And you have learned to tie your shoe
And you have learned to make decisions
And solve problems in your way,
You have learned to pour your juice
And wash your hands after you play.
You have learned not to talk to strangers
And to your friends always be kind
You have learned to pick up your centers
And never leave a mess behind.
In this place that we've created and
Wait for you each day your
Parents have learned a lesson ...
The value of good play.
