Let us thank our Lord for the seasons of our lives, for time to rest and recuperate as well as time to begin again. The Choir “Homecoming” proved to be a blessing to all. The children led the congregation in our Introit, “This Is the Day” with great enthusiasm. The choir sang “A Jubilant Song” together with trumpets joyously praising God. Together with meaningful teaching, the worship service was truly uplifting and, I believe, pleasing to our great God!
As the 2008-2009 choir season begins exciting things are on the horizon. The Choir retreat is planned for September 28th. We will have mini-workshops on vocal technique, music reading, and other topics of interest. Anyone interested in having a great time with a fun loving bunch of people, please feel free to “come on down” and attend the Choir Retreat. No experience is necessary!
Other events being planned for the fall include a Hymn Sing Sunday, a Joint Choir in December, Handbells joining the choir on occasion, as well as a wide variety of musical styles as part of the choir repertoire. Joining the choir as CPC is as easy as showing up for rehearsals on Wednesday evenings 7:30 – 9:00 pm and finding a robe that is your size for Sunday mornings.
So remember: WE WANT YOU to join choir at CPC!!!!!!! See you there…….
